  • Punjabi of Matriculation or its equivalent level.
  • Full-time regular ITI in Electrician/Wireman Trade from a recognized institute.
  • AND National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Lineman Trade.
  • Note: Degree/Diploma holders will be considered only if they possess the NAC in Lineman Trade.
Assistant Sub-Station Attendant (ASSA) 195
  • Punjabi of Matriculation or its equivalent level.
  • Full-time regular ITI in Electrical/Electrician/Wireman with minimum 60% marks AND 1 year apprenticeship experience in PSTCL/PSPCL.
  • OR Full-time regular Diploma in Electrical Engineering (60% marks).
  • OR Diploma in Electronics & Communication (60% marks).
  • OR Diploma in Instrumentation & Process Control (60% marks).
Electrician Grade-II 15
  • Punjabi of Matriculation or its equivalent level.
  • Full-time regular ITI in Electrical Discipline with minimum 60% marks.
  • OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 50% marks.

PSTCL Recruitment Selection Process 2025

The selection will be based on an Online Computer Based Test (CBT). There will be no interview. The exam pattern is as follows:

  • Part-I: Knowledge of Punjabi Language (Qualifying): 50 Questions (1 Mark each), No Negative Marking. Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50% (25 Marks).
  • Part-II: Merit Section: 100 Questions (1 Mark each). Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Merit List: Prepared solely based on marks obtained in Part-II, subject to qualifying Part-I.
