The Right to Public Service (RTPS) Bihar has released the notification regarding the online application for various certificates including Income, Caste, Residential, Character, NCL, and EWS Certificates. Under the e-District Mission Mode Project, eligible male and female applicants can apply for these services online. Candidates looking to obtain their Jati, Aay, or Nivas Praman Patra can apply directly through the official website serviceonline.bihar.gov.in without visiting government offices.

Certificate Rules ⓘ General Info Validity Details
Caste Certificate Permanent
  • The caste of an individual is determined based on the Father's Caste, not the husband's. The validity of the caste certificate is permanent.
Residence Certificate Var.
  • The validity of a Permanent Residence Certificate is always valid, whereas the validity of a temporary residence certificate is for one year from the date of issue.
Income Certificate 1 Year
  • The validity of an Income Certificate is for one year from the date of issue.

How to Apply for Bihar RTPS Online Form 2025

  • Visit the official website serviceonline.bihar.gov.in.
  • Click on "Apply for Service" from the menu or log in using your credentials.
  • Fill out the application form carefully and ensure all details are correct.
  • Upload your photo via Webcam or File Browser.
  • Verify your identity using Aadhaar OTP or by uploading one of the 12 approved identification documents.
  • Attach any necessary annexures if required for the specific service.
  • Carefully read the application form and annexure list, make necessary corrections, and click Submit.
  • Download/Print the acknowledgment receipt. After the certificate is issued, it will be available in the applicant's inbox or can be downloaded from the website using the Application Reference Number.
